These terms describe the agreement between you and Vion Mobility when you book a chauffeured journey with us. We have kept them concise and direct. Where a phrase has a specific meaning we have said so plainly, in line with our wider preference for honesty over polish.
1. The agreement
By booking a journey with Vion Mobility, by phone, by email, by message, or through our website, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and any guest who travels in the vehicle. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy and any specific quotation, retainer or corporate agreement we have signed with you.
In these terms, “Vion”, “we” and “us” mean Vion Mobility. “You” means the person making the booking. “Passenger” means anyone who travels in the vehicle, including you.
2. Our services
Vion Mobility provides chauffeured travel for private and corporate clients, including airport transfers, executive drives, weddings and events, intercity journeys, and hourly charter. The exact scope of any journey is set out in your booking confirmation.
Where we use a vetted partner house in a city we do not directly operate in, the journey remains overseen by Vion: the chauffeur and vehicle are briefed and dispatched to our standards, and any concern is to be raised with us first.
3. Bookings & confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only when we have replied with a written confirmation that includes the date, time, vehicle, route, and price.
- An enquiry, a verbal indication, or an unanswered message is not a confirmation.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us. Where the wrong address, time or flight reference is provided, additional charges may apply for re-routing or waiting.
- Same-day bookings are honoured wherever the fleet allows. Where it cannot, we will say so candidly and offer the soonest reasonable alternative.
4. Pricing & payment
How we quote
Pricing is shared up front, in writing, before the journey takes place. A quotation reflects the vehicle, the route, the duration, and any specific arrangements you have asked for. There are no surprise additions for waiting time within the agreed window, route changes within the agreed area, or weather.
Taxes and tolls
Quoted prices are inclusive of fuel and chauffeur charges. Statutory taxes, parking fees, road tolls, and inter-state permits are charged at cost where they apply, and itemised on your invoice.
Payment terms
- For one-off bookings, payment is due before the journey, by card or bank transfer, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- For corporate accounts and retainer clients, payment terms are set out in the master agreement, typically against a monthly invoice, payable within fifteen days.
- Late payment may attract reasonable interest at the rate prescribed by law, and may pause future bookings until the account is settled.
5. Cancellations & changes
Plans change. Where they do, we ask only that you tell us as early as you can, and we will be reasonable in return.
- More than 24 hours before pick-up: cancellation is free of charge.
- Between 24 and 4 hours before pick-up: a fifty per cent charge applies.
- Less than 4 hours, or a no-show at the agreed pick-up: the full quoted amount applies.
- Weddings, events, intercity, and multi-day bookings follow the bespoke schedule set out in your confirmation, which usually involves a non-refundable deposit and a longer notice window.
Where the journey is cancelled by us (mechanical failure, chauffeur indisposition, force majeure), you are not charged. Where reasonable, we will offer a replacement vehicle from our own fleet or a vetted partner.
6. Conduct in our vehicles
Our chauffeurs are unfailingly courteous. We ask the same of those who travel with us.
- Seatbelts are to be worn at all times, in line with motor vehicle law.
- Smoking, vaping and the consumption of illegal substances are not permitted in our vehicles.
- Alcohol may be carried; consumption inside the vehicle is permitted only where lawful and where the vehicle has been booked for that purpose.
- Behaviour that is threatening, dangerous, or disrespectful to the chauffeur or other road users will end the journey at the chauffeur’s discretion. The full fare will remain payable.
- For the safety of all, our chauffeurs follow the speed limits and traffic laws of the road. We will not race a flight or a meeting at the cost of safety.
7. Wait time, delays & route changes
- For airport pick-ups, complimentary wait time of sixty minutes from landing is included. Beyond that, hourly waiting is charged at the rate quoted in your confirmation.
- For other pick-ups, complimentary wait time of fifteen minutes from the agreed time is included.
- Reasonable route deviations (a stop on the way, a brief detour) are accommodated within the quoted price. Significant deviations are billed at the prevailing hourly or per-kilometre rate.
- We do not guarantee arrival times in conditions outside our control (traffic, weather, civic disruption), but we will plan, communicate, and adapt with care.
8. Luggage & belongings
Each vehicle carries luggage to its published capacity. Where the volume of luggage exceeds the booked vehicle, we may need to upgrade the vehicle, with the difference charged at the prevailing rate.
Items left in the vehicle are logged by the chauffeur and held at our office for thirty days. Reasonable efforts will be made to return them at your cost. Vion is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit, save where caused by our negligence.
9. Liability
What we accept
We are responsible for delivering the journey with the standard of care that a professional chauffeured house should provide. Where we fall short and you suffer a direct loss as a result, we will make it right, through refund, re-performance, or fair compensation.
What we do not accept
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vion is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (missed flights, missed meetings, lost contracts, or similar) where the cause was outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any single journey is limited to the amount paid for that journey, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, where statutory law applies.
Insurance
All vehicles in our care are insured to the levels required by Indian motor law, including third-party and passenger cover. Specific certificates can be shared on request.
10. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including, but not limited to, severe weather, natural disaster, civil disruption, strike, government action, or pandemic. Where such an event prevents a journey, we will offer to reschedule or refund, as you prefer.
11. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will, in the first instance, be discussed in good faith between you and a senior member of our team. Where they cannot be resolved that way, they will be settled by the courts at the seat of our registered office.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date appears at the top of this page. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the date the booking is confirmed.
13. Contact
For any matter arising from these terms (a billing question, a complaint, a request for clarification), reach our team at:
- Email: info@vionmobility.com
- Phone: available, day or night, through your usual line. New clients may write to us first.
- Post: The Office of the Managing Partner, Vion Mobility. Address available on request.
A closing word: these terms exist to set fair expectations on both sides, not to keep an arm’s length from our clients. If something here feels at odds with the way we have served you, please tell us. We would rather know.
